13 bday party?

I am turning 13 in a couple weeks, and i am trying to think of what to do for my party. I want to do something a bit different than the classic sleepover, since this is my 13th and I'm officially a teen- its important to me.

I have a list of about 12 girls, including me.

I was thinking about having a big BBQ with music, cookout, volleyball net, water balloons, bonfire, possibly a moonbounce and maybe even a tent in the yard!

The other thought was a mall scavenger hunt-- make a random list of things to find in the mall, and then everyone has to bring their cameras to prove that they found the item on the list, but not buy it. the first team done gets a gift card? idk.

maybe a way to combine both?? in the afternoon, go to the mall for like an hour and a half, do the scavenger, while were gone, my fam. sets up the BBQ? hmm.. that thought just came to me!! lol


any other ideas? I need some creative ideas that are different than your typical bday party- i want it to be SPECIAL

also, there is a boy i REALLY like!!! i wanted to have an end of the year party later for boys and girls, so that he could come. the problem is, hes moving to GERMANY the day after school lets out, and i;ll never C him again! so i doubt he'll b able to come to the party. i dont have too many guy friends besides him and one or two of his friends. i have never had him over before to hang. my mom said it might be weird to invite him since hes never been over B4, and have his first impression of me,at home, being crazy with my girlfriends? idk... i dont relly think shes right, but ik where shes coming from. would it be weird to invite him and his friend or 2 to the party with 12 girls? (just to the BBQ not to sleep over or to the mall!)

What would you do in my position? this may be my only chance to have him over before he moves!!!

k both your party ideas are really cool. i think that the mall scavenger hunt is a good idea especially as there are 12 girls - girls love shopping. why not do that like in the afternoon and then have ppl back to your house and then have a bbq diner and then sleep in the tent - that way you can combine both.

i would not advise inviting the guy u like. i no that it sucks that he is leaving for germany but i agree with your mom that it might be a bit werid! is there any chance that you could arrange to like meet him with some of his and some of urs like equal girls and guys and so less intimidating

for your guy you definatley need to hang out with him before he moves!! but mabe not at your house mabe invite him and a few other of his guy friends plus some of your girlfriends to the pool you'll have something to do, you can play fun boy/girl water games like chicken, and mabe afterwards go and grab some lunch somewhere totally casual

Naw, I don't think inviting him over would be weird or anything, I mean he would see you at your happiest. I really like the mall idea, but the first idea was a little ordinary, maybe add something unique to spice it up a bit, like, I don't know, water balloon fights or something, LOL XD

Like you could get fireworks and shoot ALOT of them off at the exact time you were born. Thats really popular around lately.

kool ideas except some stores in the mall might not let u hav a camera and DON'T get a moon bounce! those things are so kindergarten!!

ASK HIM OUT BEFORE YOUR PARTY JUST THE TWO OF YOU AND SPEND TIME WITH HIM THAT COULD BE HIS PRESENT TO YOU. AND RELAX AND GO HAVE FUN.

go to a moive and have a sleep over save every thing ells for your sweet 16

if you have any water parks or theme parks around you, try doing a scavenger hunt there. I did one for my 14th birthday at Universal Orlando since its in my backyard, and everyone had a blast.
if you do a scavenger hunt, make funny things up.

some ideas is to make silly team costumes.
we got the umbrella hats and bright colored bandannas and wrote there names on them and they had to be wearing them for the pictures.

make the situation as comfortable as you can as far as the boy goes. try planning it ASAP so your guy friend can go and have a good memory of you and your town. try inviting some friends of his that are boys to get to know them and make him more willing to go.

that was long! well for my 13th i invited my crush and a few of his friend then only a few of mine. i wanted to keep it small. anyway, him and only one other guy were able to come. i have sports to thank fot that one. them only 2 more girls could come. so it was really nice and i deffinately dont have any regrets. this iswhy i think you should invite him. if he cant come big deal. you will have your freinds. and chances are, if hes not going, niether will his friends.

to answer the first quetion, i like the bbq idea. that sounds like a ton of fun. for mine we just randomly decided to go bowling. plus if you do decide to invite the guys, they probably won't want to go to the mall. it should be a really great way to get to know him before he leaves. if everything goes well, you two might stau in touch.
