How to get designer clothing for less?

I am a freshman in a high-tuition private school, and i get $100 for allowance every month, but i have to buy my own clothes, food, camera stuff, bus money, money for movies, etc. I do a fair amount of stuff with my friends around town so i spend a lot of my allowance on stuff like that. But in the end, even after i save for a few months, I only save up about $150. I see all these girls going around with fifty pairs of sandles that cost 250 each, and i don't understand how they get their money. Is it from their parents? Do you think their parents buy their clothes for them? I guess... they have iphones and like fifteen designer jeans and dresses and other stuff. I love shopping, and i have some expensive clothes from when i saved up A LOT but that takes a lot of time and then i can only buy a new expensive thing three to four times a year. So anyway, my question is this: How can I find good deals on brand name clothing, without waiting for the end-of-season blowouts. Thanks!!

When you go shopping, go to the "SALES" sections, there are usually great bargain deals you can find.
Make it a rule to only look at the clothes that are on sale, you end up saving a lot of money.
you can actually find great bargains in places like saks, neiman marcus, barney's, etc.

um try going to outlets or sorry but sales are great times to get stuff for less. i know nordstroms,a&f,hollister,bloomigdales,et... always have great sales.also try tjmaxx and marshalls they have designer brands for less. also try to remember that not everything that you have to buy has to be designer. jus becuz they weaar designer stuff dosent mean thry have great style or taste,it just means that they have money and nothing else

i dont know hun but my parents never would have bought me that sort of stuff do you have like a old navy, steve and barrys, also there is ebay, craigs list, second hand like the salvation army (sometimes i find stuff with tags still on)

tj maxx sells a lot of designer clothes. also platos closet... if you dont mind wearing other ppls clothes

I love to bargain hunt at the goodwill, and other consignment type places. I don't know where you live, but in Ohio there are stores specifically for second hand shoppers. Like Plato's Closet--they gather the best gently used clothing and sell them for a fraction of the original prices.
The best favorite clothes are broke in, anyway--altho, I have to admit, I don't buy used shoes. I don't buy expensive ones either, I buy the majority of my shoes at either payless or places like DSW (discount shoe warehouse).
