Should I get a digital camera or a camcorder?

I have about $125 and already bought an iPod. I want to buy either a digital camera or a camcorder for over the summer and beyond! Which one should I get first? I have experience with digital cameras (my mom has one), and a some experience with video cameras. Which one do you think would be better for oever the summer?

If you save a little more money, you can get a digital camera that has video recording capabilities. I have a Sony CyberShot and it takes good video (not great but good). Sound is great. Plus, the camera is easier to carry and change between modes than a camcorder that takes pics.

they really are from different worlds... a digital camera has built in video recording features, and a video camera has still photo features.... but really, you can never get the best of both in one package, well, at least not right now....

if you're more on photos, you grab a camera, just make sure you get the good ones. some cameras look good and everything, but then you can't make manual adjustments when you wanna take photos, that kinda sucks when you start learning stuff about taking great photos for memories...

video cameras on the other hand, takes video, of course. but in the event that you're out with friends and everything, you're moments are better stored in videos... but then, how the hell do you put a video frame in your house for people to see? photo frames have been around for ages, how come there still aren't any realistic "video frames"?

i hope you get the point... these are two different things... kinda hard to decide between them....

Save for a nice camcorder. It too can take pictures. Don't waste money on a soon to be replaced camera.
