Where can I fix my camera?

I have a pentax t20. So basically, I've dropped my camera once. It works okay when you turn it on and take pictures and whatnot but when your tried to turn it off. The optical zoom things starts tripping out. And it starts making noises as if its about to break apart or explode. The zoom thing would go in and out and when the camera is off the zoom opticals lenses thing is pointed out. So where can I get it fix it at without purchasing a new camera?

No. Basically if YOU drop your camera the warranty is voided.

The camera companies expect the owners to take care of their cameras and not treat them as if they were bullet proof or a cell phone or an MP3 player.

If the cost of repair is less than a new camera, you are in luck

Go to a professional camera shop and have them check it out. Usually, good & honest places will take a look at it and let you know what needs to be done, if anything. Also, remember that you are not obligated to get it fixed by the 1st shop that you take it to - you can always say 'thank you' and go to another shop for another opinion. This will help you compare & make sure you aren't getting ripped off. Good luck.

FYI - I once had an old professional camera that I thought was broken, I was about to toss it. My friend recommended I take it to a local camera shop to have it looked at. The guy at the counter looked it over (no charge), and suggested minor repairs. I have that same camera to this day after a simple fix.

i dont know alot about cameras.

repair will proberly be more than replacing it, if it is repaired you will have a few weeks with out a camera if its your only one.

if its working ok when on then keep using it and remove the battery to turn it off, else replace it
