Camera stuck, any ideas on how to resolve this problem?

The lens of my kodak easy share one 6 mp camera is stuck . Its protruding out from the camera and the camera is non-responsive. Only a light blinks a couple of times when turned on, then goes off. I have charged the battery completely, removed and reinserted the battery and memory card , but nothing works. Any one have ideas on how to resolve this problem?

sounds like a mechanical failure.
You could try "helping" the lens move (the more force you use, the better the chances are you will FIX or BREAK it, for sure)
If the camera is a total loss anyway, try pushing or pulling on the lens SLIGHTLY at first, then powering on.
Could just be dirt or sand in a small gear or sprocket.

Get a new camera.

Had a similar problem with a Nikon. Took the battery's out and cleaned all contacts with a pencil eraser and it solved the problem.. Try it..

send it in for repairs
