I just got a Canon Xti DLSR as a gift to replace my old EOS 1000F 35mm. All the Canon lenses work, but I have a 28mm Sigma lens that provokes an Err 99 from the camera when I shoot.
A bit of web research suggests that I should get it re-chipped to work with the newer camera. I can find no details on where to go or direct reports from people who have had it done. Has anybody done this? you should ask Sigma for where to send your lens or where would be an authorized service center near you.
Here is their contact info (from http://www.sigmaphoto.com/contact/contac...
