I'm having trouble with my Advent MP5 Digital Camera?

I stop using it for a while and now that I'm trying to use it again. It first started with the start up screen and stopped there. It wouldn't reset. I took batteries out and placed them back in. Now all i get is a red light once i press the power button. And the zoomed out lens won't retract, and the camera won't load up. ANY HELP PLZ

It could be any kind of defects with the product. If you still have the warranty, then take it back to the store.
