What cannon lens do you reccomend???

I am looking for an all round lens for my cannon digital camera. Im having trouble.. as icant decide between:
EF70-200 f/4L IS USM or the EF24-105 f/4L IS USM

any other suggestions on what type of lens to get?

I have about $2000 to spend on a new lens; so any guidence would be appreciated...

I want to use the lens for landscapes and portriture shots. also im am gonigto italy so need it for the touiristy pics!

I have the 24-70 and love it, although sometimes i miss the IS
