What are the different types of lenses for a camera?

or possibly a link containing that information?
im thinking like lomo, polaroid.... idk but im just getting into photography

There are many types of lenses for different cameras, usually depending on brand such as Canon, Nikon, etc. Most SLR type cameras use lenses that range from 8mm circular fisheye, 10-20mm ultra wide angle, 16-35mm wide angle 17-50mm standard short telephoto, 24-135mm standard medium telephoto, 18-200mm telephoto, 70-200mm long telephoto, 200-500mm super telephoto, to prime lenses with fixed focal lengths ranging from 15mm to 180mm with marco, 800mm super long telephoto and tilt-shift lenses. Again, it depends on the camera. Some brands have more or less lenses than others, then there is 3rd party manufactures of lenses for all brands. Only SLR or DSLR type cameras can use interchangeable lenses.

You also have the option of wide angle and fish-eye lenses. The link below is to one of my pages that has a link to various resources, one of which being a japanese specialist lens maker.
