Can a dv camera with 5 lenses, 3.2 CMOS sensor really produce a 12 megapixel picture?

My DV camera's hardware resoultions are 12MP, 6MP, 3.2MP, and 2.1 MP. Lens size is 9.0mm

answer is clearly NO. The camera will produce 3.2MP images, then it will perform some interpolation to create more information points out of the real ones - but this is an afterwards process, no real imaging.
If the object to be captured is well defined, with uniform colours, low detail... then you can do that. But you won't get nice pictures from objects with high detail and wide colour ranges...
