I will be taking all types of pictures. What variety of film slr camera lenses do I need to start with?

I'm going to presume from your question that you are a beginner in photography. As such, I applaud you for starting with film. You will learn so much using a film SLR and should you decide down the road to switch to digital, you will have a step up on those who do not have a background in film.

That being said, If I had just one lens to start shooting with, it would be a standard zoom lens and I would choose one that was a 28-200mm (or somewhere in that range). If I could get two lenses, then I would choose a 28-105mm (or somewhere in that range) as my primary lens and a 100-300mm telephoto zoom (or somewhere in that range) as my secondary lens. Either way, I'd buy as fast a lens as I could afford. Keep in mind that the faster the lens, the more it will costs.

To START I jsut bought a Canon Rebel with its factory lens, and it got me through my beginner class. However, I will be buying a tele lens for the next class.

Get yourself a 50mm f/1.8

This lens is ultra versitile and will make you focus on your composition. Once you get the basics down ,then you can pick up other lenses that fit your needs.
