Auction said two Tokina macro lenses, turned out seller lied. Recieved 1 Albinar and 1 Chinar macro lens. Only cost me $47 so I dont feel to bad. Lesson well learned. I looked around and couldn't find any reviews. I do remember both Chinon and Albinar lenses from the days past. I believe Kodak bought Chinon a while ago and they make lenses for Kodak cameras now.
Chinon and Albinar were always the cheapest options if you were looking to buy a lens. Some of them were pretty decent, some of them quite bad.
The best test is just to take a few shots and decide for yourself. If they work and are sharp and have no other issues, you did good. If not, oh well, like you said, lesson learned... |
