My camera amsung.it was dropped and now when itry to open the lens it just makes a noise and goes back off?

it is a samsumg digimax s500 5.1 mega pixels

sorry
it needs repaired

You have destroyed you camera. Only one or two are designed to be dropped, dunked in water and other wise abused.

See if it can be repaired, but if it costs more than 1/2 the cost of a new one, buy a new one. Be sure to buy one that uses the same SD cards yours does.

Your camera is now a paperweight.

Begin shopping for a new one. Enjoy!

I know it is horrible to hear but it's probably better to buy a new one... Repairs can cost you anywhere from $75 to $300 depending on what has to be done. You'll be able to find a new camera that's got more bells and whistles for less than it would typically cost to fix the one you've got. You can take it to Wolf or Ritz Camera to see what they would charge.
