Looking for the best digital camera with 8 to 10 megapixels also best lens?

I have a canon rebel 8mp...and, in my opinion, that is the best camera ever built. I have had a kodak and sony digital in the past and they just didn't compare to the pic quality that i get from the canon. I first purchased the canon rebel 6.3mp and once the new one arrived I just had to have it. It is a little costly, around a grand but its worth it. I'm not a professional but now I can take pics like one. I basically use it for around the house with the baby and kids and family pics. And according to my wife its the last camera that I'll ever buy.

GO FOR NIKON D200!!! or canon d20 or canon d5... it depends on your budget.
