What mm is the lens of a typical ome digital video camera?

First, what is "ome"?

Second, there are two dimensions "mm" can reference in lenses. The first is the focal length of the lens, i.e. 50mm lens. The second reference is to the thread diameter on the front of the lens where you would screw filters onto.

My expensive Canon GL2 has a 4.2mm to 84mm lens. My cheapo camcorder has a 2.0mm to 57.0mm lens.
