Im looking for a 35 mm camera where I can manually change the lens. I am so confused on what i am lookin for?

I have a Canon F-1 (new) body (neck strap & batteries), Canon Power Winder FN and a Tokina 28-135 IF zoom (with Hoya UV filter). I have photos of this in "my pictures" folder it you'd like to check it out.

If you want changable camera lenses, go to Murphy Camera. They have lots. Canon has cameras with changable lenses too.

You're looking for a type of camera called a 35mm Single Lens Reflex camera or SLR for short.

Typical examples:
Canon Rebel T2
Nikon N80
Pentax ZX-50
Pentax K1000

Make sure you get a good lens with the camera!

All 35mm SLR (Single Lens Reflex) cameras have interchangeable lenses.

A Minolta SRT-202 would be excellent for you. Get an MC ROKKOR-X 50mm f1.4 or f1.7 lens and you're good to go. Check KEH, B&H, Adorama or ebay.

The Pentax K1000 is also an excellent camera.

I am biased towards Minolta since I've been using them since 1971. :)

This is one of the best times to buy film due to the bargains that have come around because of the people switching to digital.

Not sure what your requirements are but I suggest you look at the Canon EOS lineup and the Nikon N series.

don't get confused. Most of the cameras are 35 mm and if you want to change the lens manually means you need a SLR camera. Now the question is if you want a digital or normal camera. If you want digital camera go for nikon D40 a very good camera for every one.

35mm cameras are going to be obselete soon... i would start checking on a DSLR type camera (digital). they also allow u to change ur lenses, aperatures, shutter speeds, histograms, etc. one of the best out there are the nikon d-series types. if ur specifically looking for a film fed camera however, its going to be kind of difficult to find, but u can check local camera stores and see if they have any. sometimes people bring in their old cameras for resale.

digitalfoto alluded to this but I will state it a little clearer.

If you are thinking about film first then digital, get a film camera that takes lenses that will fit the digital camera you will eventually get. Most manufacturers wanted to keep their diehard film customers so they made most of their cameras to accept those old lenses, but there are some exceptions. Canons autofocus lineup will fit all the canon digital slrs but not the much older manual focus lineup. So dont get a Canon fd mount camera or lens, anything that says EF mount or EOS will work. I refference Canon because thats just what I know.
