Interchangeable lens cameras?

I would like an interchangeable lens camera what are the best ones at reasonable prices. the more choices the bettter. Thanks!!!!

oh sry i 4got digital

Are you talking DSLRs or SLRs.

Film or digital?

What is your experience with photography?

These are things that people need to know to give you an
answer.

If you have zero experience with photography I suggest you take a photography class at your local high school or community college. Then you can make an informed decision as to which camera will best suit your needs.

What is your budget? Reasonable can be a relative for everyone.

But for most people, I think a Nikon D40, D40x or a D80 is a good choice for a Nikon. All of them are under the $1000 range with the D40 being the cheapest.

If you want a Canon, go for the Rebel XTi (~$750 kit) or wait for the upcoming D40 (~$1200 body only)

People have been saying that the Pentax and the Sony are good but I have no experience with them. For me, you can't go wrong with a Nikon or a Canon.

Also since it's interchangeable lens, you might want to consider a lens to go for it. Usually the lens that included in the kit are okay for everyday use - but there are options for specific needs (wide angle, telephoto/high zoom number, macro/for shooting object at very close range) and you might want to invest in more than one of those lens.

Then you might want to consider an external flash because the built in flash usually aren't that good.

You may also want a tripod to stabilize your camera during low light condition/when you're using tele lenses.

But anyway, I could go on and on and confuse you even further. Just go to your local camera shop and compare the camera I've mentioned above.

Good luck!

Some Digital SLR's worth a good look:

Canon EOS 400D 鈥?10 megapixels, great overall picture quality, lowest noise at high ISO settings for this price range, an industry leader with a wide range of peripherals, great software bundle supplied with kit. Cons 鈥?not a great lens, better to buy the body and then buy a better lens separately. Kit price 鈥?approx. $850.00

Nikon D40 鈥?6 megapixels, great overall image quality, surprisingly good build quality and lens for a camera that sells for around $560.00 USD, very responsive, perhaps the best user interface in this price range, an industry leader with a wide range of peripherals. Cons 鈥?no internal AF motor means autofocus can only be achieved with newer AF-S and AF-I CPU lenses. Kit price 鈥?approx. $560.00

Nikon D40X 鈥?10 megapixels, great overall image quality, surprisingly good build quality and lens, an industry leader with a wide range of peripherals, perhaps the user interface in this price range, very responsive. Cons 鈥?no internal AF motor means autofocus can only be achieved with newer AF-S and AF-I CPU lenses. Kit price 鈥?approx. $750.00.

Olympus E-410 - 10 megapixels, Live MOS Image Sensor give you full time Live-View on the LCD monitor, four-thirds aspect ratio may be preferred by some. Cons 鈥?Live view auto focus can be slow . Kit price 鈥?approx. $900.00.

Pentax K10D -10 megapixels, good build quality with dust and weather seals (great if you plan on using your camera in less than ideal weather conditions), in camera shake reduction, great value for money. Cons 鈥?dynamic range and image sharpness not quite as good as industry leaders. Kit price 鈥?approx. $900.00.
