Ihave a nikon coolpix camera, when i look through the lens i see lines in the photo.?

this is quite normal as this tells u wot boundaries u have to take the picture within when using certain modes.

Is this not a reflection of your face you are seeing?

If you're talking about 2 across and 2 down lines ( like the lines used to play OXO) then they're supposed to be there. They are to help you set up the picture squarely.
They will NOT appear in your photo.

Yeah, it would be helpful if you gave more info and said what sort of lines. As the answer above says - if they are a grid made of two lines down and two across, then this is there to help you frame the picture according to the "rule of thirds" (ie: you should (usually, not always) seek to align/frame your shot so that the most important part of the image sits at one of the four places where the lines cross, however, if you mean lines running down the screen, it could be that it's simply a poor viewfinder, or you're shooting near some sort of interfereance (such as mobile phones/electrical), or even that there's a fault with the camera.
