Which button do you press to take the lens off a 35 mm camera? |
Im taking photography and my teacher pressed the button but i think that i didn't press the button and i don't wanna look stupid Every camera is different. Lots of times they kind of twist off. You have to push in and twist anticlockwise-left, and the lens will come off. If it doesn't want to come off that way, just get your teacher to show you again. You don't want to break anything! Looking right at the lens, there should be a button on the lower half of the right hand side. Press that and at the same time, twist the lens clockwise. It should come right off. There is a release button usually at 3 or 9 o'clock where the lens connect to the body. It is usually a quick mount (bayonet) and 1/4 turn counter clock wise will releasethe lens. Louis F is correct. But if you're not sure, you can just look at whichever larger button is next to the lens. Push the button and rotate the lens counter clockwise. If you push the right button, the lens will rotate. If all else fails, read the Owner's Manual. If you don't have it you can probably download it or buy one on ebay. All cameras are different. Here are a list of the ones with which I'm familiar Hey Sarah, if you let us know exactly which camera brand and model you have, we will help you find a online manual.
