There is fog on the lens of my digital camera?

There is fog on the lens of my digital camera?

it's humid take the cap fron the batteries out then try putting it in the fridge sounds nuts but it worked for me.

condensation = ur fukd

The answer = new lens or camera shop might fix it

At some point you have gotten moisture in your camera. Maybe you have taken some pics in the rain or fog?

If its a cheap digital camera, that is pretty common. Probably isnt worth fixing.

spray the lens with glass cleaner and wipe it off be very carefull.

Try opening the batterie compartment, and put a fan pointing at it. hopefully the moisture will evaporate. However, if you want a professional drying is has to be opened. Depend of how much is worth the camera if you want to pay for that in a Service store.

It is most likely to be condensation. If it clears away when the camera is left in a warm area for a short time, that is what is most likely. It occurs because the moisture naturally in the air condenses on the lens, particularly when you first expose the lens in moist or cold conditions. If it doesn't go away, you have a more complex problem.

There are a couple of ways of dealing with it. If it is only on the external lens surface, you can remove it when it occurs with a lens cleaning cloth or lens tissue. These are scratch free, and used gently will not damage the surface of the lens.

If it is on the inside of the lens, you need a longer term solution to remove the moisture from inside the camera, basically to dry it out. The most effective way that I know is to buy a small package of silica gel from a good camera store or pharmacy, and put this in your camera case with the camera. The effect won't be immediate, several hours or more might be needed. If you don't have a case, use a plastic bag like a large ziploc sandwich bag that can be sealed with the camera and silica gel bag inside.

An emergency solution, eg if you are travelling, is to use a dozen or so grains of rice and put these into the camera case, and leave it overnight. The rice is not as fast as silica gel, but given time it too will absorb the moisture in the camera. I have done this with binoculars when I had a similar problem travelling in the Amazon and silica gel was not common :).
