Digitial Camera lenses cant go in .. help!?

Whenever I turn on my camera it beeps and the screen says "turn camera on and off" and i do, but the lenses doesnt/cant go back in, and then it STILL says "turn camera on and off" even after I've done it. I've tried taking the mem card/batteries out, what else can I do to fix it? it think the warranty expired so i'm probably on my own .. help!!

I also havent dropped it or damaged it ..

what brand and model is the camera? sounds broke to me and it will cost more to have it fixed than to replace..in my opnion.

Unfortunately your camera is now a paperweight. Time to buy a new one so you may as well start shopping.
