Does anyone know a camera that i could buy a camera that has a great zooming lens for a concert?

i'm going to a concert on dec.5 and well let's just say that the tickets aren't great and i need a camera that can zoom very far or something like that thanks to anyone that helps.

If you have far seats from the stage, you aren't going to get quality pics from a regular digital point-n-shoot camera. Especially if you're shooting with a flash from far away, your subjects right in front of you will absorb the light and will appear lighter than the band in the background. Cameras that have better quality from shooting afar would be SLR cameras with a telephoto len, but the public won't be able to bring in an SLR camera unless you had a media/photo pass from the publicist or the band mgmt.

If you were in the pit at least, you can get some decent pics from with a camera with at least 3x optical zoom.. but if you're in the stands in the back, you won't get quality zoom pics.

JenGen is right. Take some great pictures with your photographic memory. Anything you will be able to sneak in will get great pictures of the back of the head of the people in front of you if you use the flash and the people on stage will look like fuzzy, blurred bugs if you try to go without flash. You've got to be right on stage with JenGen to get good pictures, so don't risk losing your camera to security and just enjoy the show.

Hi,
You can get exactlly what you want at cheapest prices search engine. I shop there all of the time and almost every merchant is there including ebay, walmart, amazon etc.
There are also over a million consumer reviews.
Good luck to you an I hope this helps you.

Canon Rebel XTi + Canon EF 17-85mm IS USM = 5x optical zoom + image stabilization + ISO 1600 + 3frames per second + a buffer good for 20 frames.

I have a Nikon Coolpix 4800 and it has an 8x optical zoom. I think my model has been discontinued, but you may be able to find it somewhere. I bought it specifically for it's zoom and for it's macro lens. If money is no object for you, I'd go with a DSLR camera. They are far more flexible for zooming.
