How much should a cosina pm-1 camera with a 50mm lens cost? Why would you want to waste money on that junk? Go to www.keh.com and look for a Nikon N80 and the Nikkor AF 50mm f/1/8D and you'll have the perfect camera to learn with; you will grow with the N80 but will not outgrow it anytime soon. It has 3 metering systems, a built-in strobe (good up to about 5-6 feet and is is a solid and sturdy camera that will give you years of very good service. It is the Poor Man's Pro Camera because of the similar features to the Nikon F100. By the way, yes, you can use the N80 totally manual, or semi-auto (aperture priority OR shutter speed priority) or totally manual and in any mode with or without auto focus. Go to www.keh.com and look around but be ready to buy as soon as you see what you like; the merchandise at keh.com doesn't stay on the shelves very long. If you do NOT see what you want, go back in a couple of days and be ready to buy. The N80 is also the perfect camera to learn with and to use as a back-up camera AND as a primary camera!
Good luck and best wishes. For more information see my reply in:: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... Maybe $20. Not much more.
