How do I know which lenses are right for which camera? |
I have accquired a couple of camera lenses which I beieve are quick good but I'm not sure what type of camera they will work with? One lens is Kumura and the other is Hanimex. Will they work on any professional camera or on certain makes or models. Different camera have different mountings. For example. Nikon cameras are called "F" mounts while Canon calls them "EF" mounts if i can remember correctly. Different camera brands have different lens attachment configurations, therefore i would suggest you take your lenses with you to a camera store or pawn shop and ask attendent to actually attach your lens to proper camera. You can then purchase camera that matches your lenses. Both brands are quite old. The Hanimex lens (European) I'm not sure about. But, the Komura line was never really top-shelf quality. If I remember correctly, Komura had a number of lens mount adapters for the various brands (at that time Pentax, Canon, and Nikon). Modern used lenses would probably prove to be better investment without hurting your picture quality. 18 to 55mm for Wide angles Lens and 75 to 300 mm for Zoom Lens. |
