How many converging and diverging lens does a camera have????

Previous responder is basically correct. If you have just one lens, it must be converging. Additional lenses may be used to avoid color fringes, get rid of barrel or pincushion distortion, provide a zoom feature, or for other reasons.

It depends by the construction type of the objective. The simple objectives can have just one lens while complexes objectives can have up to 12 lenses, some stuck together, some positioned at a few milimeters distance.
