Should I buy a new lens for a camera or tickets to a concert?

I can only get one or the other. Which one sounds better?

Get the tickets because that is a scheduled event. Get the lens later, use the camera and the new lens to make extra money for more tickets later!

Depends, if the concert is something you have been wanting to go to for a while, get the tickets. But if you are always taking pictures and enjoy it, I would get the lens. Why spend money on something that would bring you enjoyment for a few hours, when you could spend the same money on something that would bring you enjoyment for months, or even longer.
