the screen & everything else is fine but the lens wont go back. If its out of warrenty then the best thing to do is get some free estimates from electrical shops in your area.
It looks like the motor mechanism is damaged.
The best thing would be to just use it as it is, as the screen works, and the CCD chip is ok, and when you replace the camera with a new one in the future, you can give it to a Relative.
But get some estimate first, it could be just a minor repair yeh go back 2 where u got it from they shud b able to find wher 2 get it repaired from or smin. same thing happended 2 me lol You can probably get it fixed, but its probably cheaper to get a new one.
sorry. If the camera is still under warranty take it back, but expect to raise your voice while doing it!! ;)

I just broke the lcd on a new sony w50 since I dind't want to go through the warranty I decided to buy another camera same model on ebay. well i bought it for 7,00 dollars....
so the lcd on mine was broken, i bought the same camera on ebay with a perfect lcd but with the lens broken... so i'm just gonna trade the good lcd onto my original camera that had the craked lcd.. so in your case..
everything works exept the lens.. search for the same model on ebay that has a craked lcd but a good lense... now dont spend too much on it.. and when u get it[ if u do decide to fix it urself] take the lcd off your camera that has a problem with the lens and put it in the camera you bought wich had a craked lcd.... fixing lcd's is very easy...
