What is very best way to clean lens of digital camera?

So as not to damage lens in any way.

NEVER EVER USE WINDOW CLEANER!

Window cleaner has amonia and other nasty chemicals which eat away the organic coatings of the lens. It may look fine now but the edges of a lens treated this way will soon discolour and flake. If you want a sure fire way to destroy your lens use windex.

Also using a dry tissue runs the risk of producing fine scratches.

The best way has been mentioned above: Microfibre cloth.

Make sure there are no large particles of dust or crud or anything on the lens first with a soft brush., then breathe on to your lens to produce a "fog". This fog is pure distilled water, that will dry without residue or film (assuming an already film free lens). then wipe in circles with the micro fibre cloth.

You may have to repeat this process several times to remove prior cleaning solutions and greasy films etc, but eventually it will come up super clean.

Hope that helps

with lens paper. Go to your local camera shop and buy some. It's cheap and it works.

It's not easy to damage the lens by cleaning it, just take a piece of thin cloth and spray a little of windows cleaner then rub the lens very gently and let it dry, you don't need any special stuff just to clean a lens, I do this with my two digitals and they're always sparkly crystal clean..鈽?/div>

All you need is a lens cleaning cloth...or a microfibre cloth which is suitable for glass...no chemicals needed.
