Camera Fell and now im getting a error saying "Lens error, Restart camera" when i do that it does not work?

I have a Canon PowerShot SD900 I was doing a timer and if fell about 3 feet.... what should i do when the lens wont go back in??

You should call canon ASAP!

Yea you can call canon and also there may be a local camera repair shop that might even specialize in certain brands for warranty purposes.

I think you broke it and it needs to be repaired, but these days they don't repair many cameras, because they don't cost a lot...if you damaged the camera yourself...Canon will not fix it for you, unless you want to pay them a lot of money..

ouch! I don't think there is anything you can do for the camera though. sorry. maybe you had a warranty? I sure hope so.

If it is under warranty, send it to Canon Service.

If you do not have warranty.

In all likelihood, either a contact is damaged that prevent communication between the lens and the camera body, or the lens motor is damaged. If it is a contact issue, or a fitting issue, maybe someone technically inclined can take a look at it first.
