I got the stock lens that it comes with but im not happy witht he quality. What lens would you get for the canon Rebel xti?
Which would you choose?
EF 75-300 mm f/4-5.6 III USM Telephoto Zoom Lens
EF 28-135 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Standard Zoom Lens
I want to be able to take good pictures of people and also good pictures of mountains and natural landscapes.
Thanks for your info. Well, I'm assuming you got the 18-55 with the camera. You're right, it's not noted as one of the greatest lenses on Earth, especially wide open.
However, replacing it with either of the two lenses you mention knocks off any wide-angle capability, which you may want to keep for landscape purposes.
Canon makes a 17-85mm f/4-5.6 USM IS which might be a better choice. If you go over here...http://www.photozone.de/8Reviews/index.h... you'll find a review of it along with a ton of other lenses you might want to consider.
Hope this helps. For what you state, the 28mm-135mm
The rat go for the 28-135,
you won't have to stand not as far back when taking photos of people as you would with the 75-300
heck go for the 28-200 lens which is my standard everyday lens that I've been using Easy.....75 - 300 but I would get IS on that lens you wont regret it......worth the extra bucks. |
