My digitial camera says lens error, what can I do?

I have a cannon sd 600 and when I turned it on, it said lens error. Anything I can do to fix it?

Thanks

The lens is not connected properly. Has it been dropped or sat on or anything recently that may have damaged it? Make sure it isn't loose or anything, but don't try to snap it into place if you're afraid of breaking it. If it seems fine, send it to Canon for repair if it's still under warranty. If it isn't under warranty anymore, a repair is going to cost you over $100, probably more.

My Sony camera broke once, and they asked me for over the retail price of the camera to fix it. The parts were expensive, and with the addition of labor, it was cheaper to get a new one than fix it.

Take it to the shop where you bought it from. Digital cameras are very delicate and need to be looked at by a pro. All you can do is to make sure that the actual lens comes out freely from the body of the camera, if it doesn't, ensure there is no dirt (any foreign matter) in between the casing of the lens.
Good luck

have it repaired
