I have Kodak P880 that I purchased in January of this year, for around $325.
I accidentally dropped it today, lens first onto tile floor. The UV filter I had on the lens shattered, but the glass on the lens didn't break. However, it's a manual zoom, and now it does not move very smoothly.. it's a real struggle to zoom the lens. I also don't feel like it's focusing properly, as I took a test shot and it came out blurry, and was not focusing no matter what I did. Other than that, the camera seems to be working fine.
I have a dSLR, but I love my P880 and it took really nice, wide-angle shots. Not to mention that I've only had it a few months.. I'd really like to not have to trash it.
Where, exactly, would I send it to get it fixed.. and does it sound like it COULD be fixed? I don't have a ton of money to spare, but I'd really like to save this camera.. go to kodak.com

and full instructions It's better take this to service center than make it yourself. maybe some mechanism inside camera got wrong. When it's trying to move and "struggling" try forcing it along with your hand. right off the bat your camera is out of warranty and if it was still under warranty you would still have a problem! the warranty would be voided, due to the fact that it was drooped!
Yes you can still have it fixed and you will have to pay for it, this will not be a cheep fix! you can take the camera in to any camera store! do your self a big favor, get your self an estiment on how much it will be to fix it! it may be cheaper to buy a new camera then having the old on fixed!
