If I change the lens on my camera, will the film be ruined?

I have a 35mm SLR camera, the old kind, except I don't know how to use it. I have put new film in and snapped a few pictures, but now I want to change the lens to a panorama one. Will this ruin the film inside the camera? Should I change the lens only in the dark? Or not at all?

No it will not, they are constucted so that no light is admitted during the changing of lenses which is frequently necessary and as no light enters you don't have to do it in the dark.. Enjoy your photography

if you want to you you should change the lens in the dark

no

You already have an adequate answer; the first one from Widdow Twanky; select theirs as the best.

The camera has a shutter independent of the lens, and can be changed in full light.

Ignore the later answers telling you otherwise.

You won't ruin your film. The widow twankey answer is absolutely correct. Honest!
