Is there such a thing as a camera lens with an aperture wider than f/1.0?

I'm thinking there are three possible answers: 1. Sure, and here's a link to where you can buy it. 2. Yes, but it would be so expensive that wouldn't be worth it, or 3. No, it would have a negative depth of focus.

Actually there were lenses made with a 0.95 aperture. Leica 50mm Noctilux-M for the Leica M and the Canon 50mm F.95 for the late Canon screw mount camera. You may have to search for a long time to find one for sale, but who knows? And yes, expensive would be an understatement. The depth of field, wide open could be quite shallow at its closest focusing point, but at 100 ft to infinity, it should be fine (depth of focus occurs behind the lens at the focal plane).

Yes there is.

Yes there is. There only prime lens however. I believe their pretty expensive if I last recalled. Not very practical for everyday use. Its specilized lens.

here's a link to some on ebay

Yes, canon made a f/0.95 lens in 1961, it was a 50mm. It was brighter than the human eye, However, they are only for canon EOS
cameras.
