Lens Error with my Cannon Camera?

when i turn on my cannon Digital Camera it says " Lens error" how can i fix it? " I dropped the camera but it was working fine after wards, then when i charged the battery and placed it back in the camera it says " lens error" please tell me how can i fix it , thanks

The camera is called " Cannon power shot SD600"

i see that alot in my days of working with cameras... my friend... the only advice i can give you is that its cheaper to buy a new camera than getting it fixed.. ...unless you purchased the camera with the service plan (i.e. your local best buy retail usually offers service plans on their products) or its under the manufacture warranty, but usually the manufactures doesn't covered drops... you can always take it to your local best buy retail and have geek squad look at it, but they are going to tell you its cheaper to purchases a new camera.....

Where did all the 35mm SLRs go?

That is not user-fixable.

If it is under warranty, send it in to be fixed.

If it is not under warranty, you need to buy a new camera. You can get a good digital camera for under $200 these days. A cheap digital camera for under $100.
