My kodak camera lens is stuck??? |
Ok so My little brother says that he turned on my camera, and then my lens got stuck in a way. But I think because my little cousin was hitting my camera the day before, it screwed up my lens and now it's broken. My camera is a Kodak Easyshare MD853, and just got it last November. Is there anyway I can take it to the store to fix it or anything? Or do i need to buy a new camera? Should I give it to my uncle who knows alot about tech stuff? Please, help! I'm only 13 years old! Please please help!!!! I am so mad!! >:( Under warranty? Send it in, I woudlnt really take it to a store to get fixed, itll cost more then its worth, try giving it to your uncle. Most cam arent that hard to fix but its its under warranty Id send it in, if you break the seal they will know when its sent in and might refuse to fix it. A warranty only covers defects, not abuse to a camera. You will probably have to get a new one. And when you do, please don't let anyone else handle it, or leave it where it can be hit by babies. Give it to your uncle and see what he says If your cousin was hitting it, tell your parents. Your aunt/uncle (cousin's parents) should pay for the camera. If they're not held responsible for things your cousin breaks, they'll never teach him to respect other people's property. OK so the following blog outlines some repair options for a lens error. They won't work for all cases, but they're worth a try if the camera's no longer under warranty: |

best bet is somewhere like e-bay or one of the photography magazines. i assume you have not looked at a dealers stock? sometimes they can get hold of items for you but you will of course pay top do... Focal length... Its is very complex in explanation, yet the higher the focal length, the more powerful the lens -- in general Look up focal length in wiki. ... No chance I'm afraid... you need to contact the manufacturer - an independent dealer may be cheaper. ...it is the lens motor their is something stick in the lens motor i had this problem before i get into the slr cameras try to fix it and if you worry that you will make it worse take it to the custom... It's a pink camera and it got what it deserved. Buy a different color and you will not think of it as a toy that you can leave on the floor. This one is toast. ...Twisting the lens is exactly the right solution - by dropping, the pin for screwing the lens outwards was misarranged. If twisting wouldn't work, you could also try to pull slightly. To react... I get that effect with my holga ...Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered... |
