Would a backwards wide angle lens have the effect of a fisheye? |
If i were to take a wide angle lens and flip it over and tape it to my camera, would it have the same effect a fisheye has? would i be better off spending 40$ on an opteka .43x high definition2 fisheye lens? It's the angle of view that makes the fisheye effect. In theory, turning your lens around would not change that. The fisheye effect is the result of projecting a scene viewed over a wide angle onto a sensor that will eventually produce an image that's viewed over a more narrow angle. This distorts the perspective. Uh, I don't think taping a lens to your camera is gonna work too well. There used to be lens reverse mount adapters for SLR film cameras, but it would act as a macro, not a fish-eye. |
