Someone help me find an inexpensive camera to take clear nighttime pics in NYC? |
I want to begin a hobby taking pics of NYC architecture and nature. But with my BlackBerry phone, it is limited. I want to find a cheap but excellent digital or regular camera as a first camera, but one that will be able to focus on a moonlit sky (with a clear picture of the moon and its glow) and buildings at night. I know it's not gonna be cheap, but what are the best practical cameras and their lenses? Someone preferably answer me who is in NYC and takes these types of photos with success. Having lived in N.Y.C. for a number of years,I would recommend,a used Nikon,a 35 mm wide angle,105 mm short telephoto, and a long lens 300 mm or longer. Also you'll need a sturdy tripod for shooting in low light.I later added a 20 mm super wide that I use to this day.I loved NY at night and shot thousands of rolls .I prefer a prime lens over zooms, because of most of my lens needed to be 1.8 or better because of the low light conditions. You don't need to purchase Nikon lens unless you can afford them.I've used Vivitar lens with great success.Good hunting, much luck and peace.Hope this helps. I am an electronics enthusiasts. The recently, I discovery a very good site that can be recommended for everyone. In generally, I am intereted in mp3 player or digital camera. In here,I got them, and the items鈥?price and quality are all good.At the same time, I found that the site updated faster, you can understand the trends of digital products. And this site, you can found i agree with joe also cant stress enough the sturdy tripod your probably going to need to use slower shutter speeds at night. |
