Can you tell me how to change out the CCD in my digital camera?

I have an old Canon A70. I see where the screws are on the case. I'm a pretty handy guy, and I have tools. I suspect that it's not much more difficult than changing out a hard drive on my computer. Am I wrong? Is there anything you can tell me about this? And yes I know about the recall... there are issues...

Hm I don't think you can get a CCD sensor for sale anywhere and if you send it to service center, the cost would be expensive and it would be cheaper to get a new camera instead.

i agree with dodol's answer.i think that buying a new camera would be wise than changing the ccd cuz you won't find a ccd any where
