I resently bought a canon sd630 which has a huge 3'' lcd screen, which also means it has more area to scratch. which ones are the best? either one of the protectors that they sell at radioshack or bestbuy or circuit city is good. the most importan part is not letting it get smudged with your fingertips when you are placing it on the camera. when you cut it, make sure its EXACTLY the same size as the screen so that you wont have any extra sticking out. this will be bad if you put your camera in cases and everytime you take it out it will get caught and in a few days it will be removed again.
before you put the cover, make sure you clean the surface of the screen thoroughly and make it really clean. then remove only the corner of the plastic and slowly apply the cover on the lcd, carefully pressing the corners all the way and slowly pres the rest to avoid and remove bubbles. make sure its aligned. if you dont get this right the first time, you can do it again about 2 or 3 more times. after that, replace the plastic and do it over. if you got this good, the cover will stick for as long as you can stay away from scratching it off.
again, any cover is good. its just how you put the lcd cover plastic. You can go to Staples and ask for a screen protector for a Palm or other PDA. They come in a pack of 10 0r 20 for really cheap. Belkin is a popular brand. Choose one that is bigger than your screen and cut it to fit, as described by some1 above me. |
