Whats the BEST digital camera and lens to buy. Im using a nikon f90 and want to use digital for the weddings I

shoot. I have my own lab and print everything myself.
just looking for ideas.I had a canon before nikon, I do think nikon is better, but would love to hear your opinions.

You already have a F90, but you didn't tell us what lenses you have.

Investment wise, if you were to buy a Nikon D200, all the lenses you have will fit. No need to reinvest in a new line of lenses. I would also suggest you purchase the MB-D200. It holds two Li-ion batteries and can last days with heavy shooting without a recharge.

I shoot event photography from time to time and the lens I use is the 24-85mm f/2.8 with a SB-600. That lens when used on a digital camera gives similar views as a 38-128mm lens would on your 35mm. I also carry a 12-24mm for the wide shots I sometimes need for group shots. Both lenses are made by Nikon.

I recently bought an Olympus E-500. It may not be up to the standard you require but I think it is great, takes great photos, but the lenses are expensive.

i have got a finepix fujifilm digital 5 -1 mega pixel & it takes brilliant pictures which is ideal for weddings- from comet store!!

Since you own Nikon F90 and Nikon lenses, Fujifilm FinePix S5 Pro is a good choice for wedding photography.

It depends on how much you want to spend I have the Fujifilm
S5600 which I got for 拢200 but that was over a year ago and
the price has drop-ed since then and it covers nearly all I could want of course it is only 5mp but that is enough for me.

I bought a Nikon D40x a month ago. I am trully impressed with it. The kit I purchased (2-Zoom Family Sports and Action Outfit) comes with the camera body, a 18-55mm lens, a 55-200mm lens, a case, lens caps, strap, a quick charger, a 1G SD card, a USB cable, and two DVD tutorial videos.
The only thing needed when I brought the kit home, was to charge the battery. Though I suggest a 52mm filter to save your lens(es) from potential scratches. I spent $775+tax for the entire Nikon package. This package only seems to be available at Costco right now.

The camera is lightweight, I am able to take hundreds of shots on a single charge. I have purchased a 4GB Sandisk Ultra II SDHC card for this. I may get another battery for it soon to extend my capabilities. The clarity and control of the 10 Mega pixel imaging is outstanding. You can use the camera in fully auto mode or you can select your own settings from a very wide array of choices including total manual operation.

For the price point, I don't think there's a better deal available.
