Digital camera my computer refuses to acknowledge it? |
i have a canon powershot 675,it used to work on computer ok but suddenly computer says no device found even after the connection bleep is heard Did your digital camera come with any installation software? If you have Windows XP, and your computer thinks your camera is a complete stranger, it gives you an option to search the web for the appropriate software that will run it. You can search the web yourself, too. Hope it helps/ helped! Report It This happens to me now and then. I unplug it and plug it in again. did camera come with a disc if so reload it. Your camera should have came with a cd. Reinstall the device. try removing the drivers from your system go to control panel, add/remove programs, remove the driver and then reload it. hope this helps. Usually this is the result of a driver (software) becoming corrupted, and resulting in Windows being unable to recognise or find it. Try re-installing the software that came with the camera. If problem persists, go to the Canon website, check their FAQs or download the latest driver for your camera. I had a similar problem with a usb drive not being recognised by the PC. The problem occurred after installing Daemon tools - so I uninstalled it and hey presto usb drive appeared. All I`m trying to say is it would appear some software does conflict so have a think what have you done recently to change the setup since the last time it worked with your canon. |
