Want to buy a digital camera outta three brands-nikon ,cannon ,sony?

i read the questions and the answers posted here and came to kno that most of the answers for digi cams go for canon a series....now even i want to buy a digi cam must be compact nd shoul satisfy me for years .most of the shopkeeper (where i live)tell me to buy a nikon or sony, but the reviews tell me to buy canon..m confused..out of the three brands which is the best..nikon offers the p and s series which look beautiful and s series have 10x optical zoom which is pretty amazing..which should i choose nikon ,canon or sony

I own a Canon AE30 that takes great pictures, videos and is easy to use.Plus it is light weight and has varied settings for stills action, portrait, etc....It downloads directly to my laptop. It easy and simply to use.It has capacity to add storage ; and varied light settings and speeds.
I recommend this camera..I love mine.

If you really wanna go for a professional photography then i would suggest cannon, but the camera is a lil bulky.
But if you want to use it for your personal use and wanna keep it handy go for sony as it had got a good screen and the camera is very handy in features.

I have a Sony and i am extremly satisfeid pictures look great had a Nikon but it got stolen in Mexico, i like Sony better

Choose between Canon Ixus 10megapixels or Sony Cybershot 10megapixels- they're both cool.
Don't be confused whether what to buy.
You gotta decide as to what preferences you like best.
These 2 digicams, they both have great features but of course not really similar than the other.

I have a Canon and I love it.

This is my 3rd digital camera. Best brand so far, from my experience.

~ thats that **** , I Love my Cannon!

~ Anything else... I'll use my Canon to shoot em!

Canon for easeof use, color capture, and lens quality

i love my camera. canon rebel xt. had a sony it sucked big time had nothing but problems with it.
but i am also a pentax girl at heart. first camera i ever owned.
my canon is awesome and takes beautiful pics...

I'm a professional photographer of 17yrs. I love canon and never have had any problems with cameras I have bought from canon.

Nikon would be 2nd

I wouldn't bother with Sony.

Any one of them is a good choice for a compact point &shoot camera. Canon, Sony, Nikon are the best of the best. Some models have more features than others, maybe you don't need all of them, so choose a model you like that fit your budget, and photographic needs.

I would go for Canon, and Sony on the first place, and Nikon for last (Nikon is good too but I like more Canon and Sony on the compact camera department). Any one of the three brands will give you years of satisfation in termns of image quality, battery life, an solid contruction.

Just don't rush, once you find the models you like the most, check on the review sites what other users say about it and how they rate it.

Buy a canon. If you are just getting started by a good used D20 off of ebay; about $500. Lens can get nutty with but buy the lowest F stop you can afford. I have a link to the one I bought; read the reviews (ebay used for $800). My pictures are amazing because its a 77 mm diameter benzel (size of lense filter) that lets lots of light in. I had to raise the ISO to 800 but got some excellent senior play pics.
