Canon digital rebel XT? |
I need to be able to fire my slave strobes without having to use my on camera flash. My manual says I can not use a hot shoe, so what do I do? Any help would be appreciated! The manual says you can't use a hot shoe adapter because it wont be TTL, the flash wont talk to the camera. That being said you can get a hot shoe adapter to work, it will just fire the slaves and your camera wont know how to compensate for them. You will have to work in manual mode, but if you have slaves this probably wont be an issue for you. Does the Rebel XT have a PC sync connector for strobes on the side? I don't know if your camera can do that. Most "commander flash" modes use a radio signal to fire remote flash units. I know of two Nikon's that can do that ... maybe someone here knows if any Canon camera has this feature. Check out the possibility of the Quantum FreeXwire, and having the possibility of wireless TTL too. |
