In terms of digital cameras, which is better and why, Nikon or Canon? |
In terms of digital cameras, which is better and why, Nikon or Canon? They're actually both great cameras, depending on the models you're comparing. For the small digital cameras Nikon's generally provide more options while Canon's are easier to use. They both have great optics and produce good quality photos. The larger SLR-type digital cameras from both companies are very good, but Canon has more expansion capability in the EOS line. nikon. just because i trust and own one of them. It seems to me that Canon is better, but more expensive. I hated the one Nikon I had, but it was low end. They might be better on the high end. canon has some nice photo software, but Nikon is better. I know somone that does alot with photos it's one of thier big hobys, and he uses Nikon, I like it, takes great pictures and has good zoom With my personal experience,Nikon is much more precise, the focus is so perfect and more durable.Canon is a fine brand too,but I guess it lacks that durability.I have both these brands, guess what;a 1983 Nikon gives me much precision than the 2005 Canon (even its digital!) Both are great. I have a Canon, and it's really easy to use, and takes great photos. Having said this, Nikon cameras (especially the better ones) are truly amazing & very professional. Maybe the Canons are a little easier to use. You won't go wrong either way. I also love Olympus cameras. Great optics. i trust only Canon why buy nikon or canon. check your local camera shop and they should recommend another make. just as good cheaper and could be better. do not just buy a name. henri Neither. They are just brands. djeff95 gives the best answer to this question in my opinion. This could turn into an unecessary dispute that ends without a true answer....because there isn't one. Both companies (as well as others) offer products that are more than capable at producing stellar images. A photographer would make a choice based on what the individual product offers against what he/she requires. To answer your question indirectly, both companies have known advantages over each other, but none of those advantages makes either one 'better'. In the end it is the photographer that makes the image. I use Canon. Some of my friends use Canon. Some use Nikon. Having compared results over the years, I see less difference from the equipment than technique. My personal opinion is that both companies make great cameras and lenses. It really comes down to preference. If there is a specific new feature you desire, it may be in one brand and not the other, but give it a couple of years, it would be in both. |
