Help with digital camera lens?

I have a Canon Powershot A620...very nice camera. But I get blurry photos, and I'm a stickler for crisp pictures. Will the telephoto lens adapter for it be what I need? I'm guessing I need more light so I can increase shutter speed.

I do not disagree with the above answers, but I want to teach you a little about photography.

DECREASING speed would lead to sharper pictures, as long as you don't shake. This will force the camera to use smaller apertures (bigger numbers) and they will give a sharper picture. You can do this by using the Aperture Priority mode (Av) and going towards f/8 or f/11 or so.

My son has this camera and his images are very satisfactory. You can also go here and click on sample images, which I believe to be true.

ok just try this first
when you take the picture
hold the button down for just a sec, not pushing all the way to take the pic but to focus it?
have u tried that?
if it doesnt work then the lens is probably broken or scratched or something and the telephoto lens could possibly fix it depending on where the damage is in the camera
take it to a repair shop it it doesnt work

First check if you can locate any visible problems with the lens (scratches, etc.) If that is not the case, see if you are focussing properly (half press the shutter, let the camera adjust the focus and then shoot). See if you are using the right mode for shooting.

If that doesn't work, then there could be problems with lens assembly or some other internal mechanism. To fix that, you must contact the service center.

I had problem of blurry pictures with my Nikon Coolpix. I tried above methods and realised that something is wrong. I gave camera to an experienced technician (because there is no service center in Bangalore) and they told me that it is a problem with gears used in lens assembly (that move the lenses back and forth). They changed the gears and it works fine now.

Check the setting first, if you set it to fully auto mode and take a picture under bright daylight outdoor and still get blurry picture, there maybe something wrong with the camera itself. Send it in to the service center to have it check. Adding telephoto adapter will not help as that is not equal to replacing the lens itself.
