which is the best in digital cameras? canon or olympus?? In general, the Ixus is smaller and handier, you can actually hang it around your neck like a cellphone.
The "A" series is known to use up the batteries alot faster; Penlight. While the Ixus uses a rechargable one like in cell phones.

Go here to compare Ixus with the A shot, you can choose 3 units at a time.

Canon uses a more common storage. either CF cards or SD.
Olympus uses its own kind of card, which can only be used with Olympus digital cameras. This kinda limits your sharing of data and memory cards between your other gadgets.
You decide... they are both good brands with alot of history and technical achievements.
I prefer the Ixus series of Canon.
Between Canon and Olympus, It would be more practical to get a canon.
Ciao The Ixus series are more compact, the A series are a big bigger and cheaper. (I think) the quality is identical.
Canon is better, but thats my opinion.
The super high end models of Olympus are good, but all Canon cameras are good.
Better read reviews of the camera you decide to buy.
Heres a good site:
http://www.steves-digicams.com/ canon ixus is just point and shoot cameras....
where as powershot A series are having some adjustment like shutter .. aperture.. focusing areas....
complete manual control.. which in my point of view is very preferrable...
anyway you can take beautiful shots.. with ixus also ........ although there is no difference in quality of the picture.. but atleast in powershot series you've complete manual controll but in ixus you are bound to auto modes..
though you can make adjustment of shutter but ..... very limited...
so ...... if you think manual adjustments are important you 'll never go for ixus.. i know..
coz the same case is with me also
canon people say like ixus are having UD lenses that is ultra dispersion lens..
but i din feel any difference... |
