Stuck between two digital cameras. Help me decide. Canon PowerShot A560 or Sony CyberShot DSC-S700? |
They are both the same price at Best Buy. The specs are nearly identical. Does anyone have either of these models and can comment on it? Thanks I wouldn't say the specs are near identical. Go for the Canon; it has a longer zoom lens, can shoot at a higher ISO (better in low lighting), has face detection autofocus, manual mode for setting everything parameters exactly how you want, and can shoot higher resolution videos (640x480 versus 320x240). The Sony either doesn't do all this stuff or doesn't do it as well. I have the PowerShot A560 and I like it because its so easy to use. I can use it as a video camera, pictures come out very clear, and uploading to the computer is a snap. Takes like 1 minute. I previously owned a similar Canon that I loved, the A530. I've never owned a Sony digital camera. I will tell you this, though: most photographers will tell you that the best cameras are made by companies that ONLY make cameras, because of how they produce the lenses (which are obviously vital to the quality of the picture). I would go with the Canon. That's what Canon does. Sony I'm with Miss Marie. The Powershot A560. I did lots of homework before buying mine and I like it. It goes well with my PC and printer. |
