Editing digital pictures, best at printing company or do it yourself? |
I just bought a new Canon SD630 digital camera. Canon sent a program to use to edit before I send to internet to get printed or stored. Since Shutterfly, Kodak etc edit them before printing, should I just let them do it?Pictures look pretty good as is and Canons program isn't easy. If the pictures look fine on your computer, just send them out. Let the printing companies make minor color corrections or white balance adjustments... stuff like that. It's really easy to do yourself and you can add so many neat things to them! I use PhotoShop but that is more advanced than Canon's program. I work for a printing company, so i would recommend letting the other guys adjust the images. Not all monitors are created equal, so what you might think looks good on your monitor might not look good after print. Those guys have calibrated monitors for this sort of thing. If the images were for the internet only, then i might recommend doing it yourself. 50 Free 4x6" Prints with coupon code C594-38-5104-11 |
