WELL MY SISTER DROPPED A CANON 630 CAMERA ANDNOTHING SHOWS ON THE SCREEN BUT TAKES PICS BUT THE SCREEN IS WHITE?????? It sounds like the screen is permanently damaged.
But, because the LCD on the A630 is a flip out & twist type, then you should easily be able to get it replaced.
I don't know how much that will cost though, so you should contact a Canon dealer or service centre.
I would send the bill to your sister...and ban her from ever touching your camera again.
Good luck Where did you buy it, and did you happen to purchase a warranty or guarantee?
The LCD is the most expensive part on most cameras. The material replacement cost for most LCDs (whether it is a swivel or not) is around $100-120. Add in the labor cost (which will be higer for swivel screens), and you're looking at about $200-250.
